Wings of Faith
Wings of Faith
In the quiet corners of our hearts
Where shadows dance and doubts take flight,
We seek a deity to guide our steps
to lift us from the depths of night.
Do we worship screens and circuits
Our phones, our gadgets, and our gold?
Or do we bow before the God of love, the ancient texts, the stories told?
For pain exists in this earthly realm
Storms rage, and hurt leaves scars unseen.
Yet within His Wings, we find refuge,
A shelter where our souls can glean.
The lost man wanders, eyes on wealth.
Material things his only creed,
Fearful of the vast unknown,
He clings to what he thinks he needs.
But the one who fears the Lord,
Lays down his burdens. Trusts the way,
He knows that in surrender lies strength
And in faith he finds a brighter day.
So where does he lay
This faithful soul?
Not on beds of riches or fleeting fame,
But upon the solid ground of grace,
Where love and truth forever claim.
Enjoy! I wrote the draft for this a while back and just finished revising it :)
