Unsung Hero: Movie Review

We went to see this movie on our trip in Kentucky.  It was such a good movie!
I've been getting slack by some people who didn't even watch the movie that it is a terrible movie and boring, and whatnot.  Well, I'm here to disprove that.  It's all about the most important thing next to God in this world.  Family.  And how this family (the Smallbones, from Australia) came to America.  Literally uprooted 7 kids, with another on the way, for a job and became one of the most well-known show-biz families in the country!  This movie is an amazing, true story about the Smallbones and how the Unsung Heroes of the family are their mother and father.  Just think.  Half of the kids became international sensations.  How did that come around? The parents.  They had to do it.  I don't know if you know this or not, but Rebecca St. James got her start by the same guy who signed DC Talk.  Eddie Degarmo.  But because, at the time (the early 90's) that Rebecca got started, Smallbone was such a weird name, they had her change it to St. James.  After their grandfather who passed away shortly after they came to America.  And then when Luke and Joel were in their 20's, they created the For King and Country band, which has become an international sensation.  And the rest of the kids are now in different parts of show-biz (if I remember correctly).  It's an amazing movie with great songs and faith!  I would definitely suggest you watch it! It's one of the best documentary movies I've ever seen.  And I've seen a lot of them!  And it's based off more real life than most "documentary" movies which add way more things to them to make it interesting to the viewer. To those who think this movie is boring, and judging it without even watching, just try watching it, please.  :)

Now here's a question: Who is the Unsung Hero in your life?  or Heroes.  We have to beg the question why they are "unsung"?  Because they are never recognized in our lives as someone who shaped our lives.  I understand that in all things we need to recognize God, but who is the one (or more) person in your life that shaped who you are as a person today?  I would say for me it is my mother.  She did so much growing up that it has totally shaped me into the person I am today.  And if you asked her, she'd say that it was all through the glory of God.  This is true, but would I really be the same person I am today if she didn't raise me the way she did?  Really?  No.  Because my upbringing would've been different.  And that's not what happened.  She raised me up in the sight of the Lord, following what the Bible says to do for children and parents.  She is the most unselfish person I know.  So, thank you, Mama!
Again, I ask you. Who is the unsung hero in your life?  What did they do to shape you in who you are today?

Thanks so much for reading this! I'm a bit out of practice with reviews, so thank you for your patience :) Have a good rest of your week!
