Unplanned: Movie Review

Good afternoon y'all!! This week's post is on the movie Unplanned.  It came out a few months ago, and I didn't even think about watching it until someone I knew wanted me to watch it.  I did, and it was a great movie!  But first, here is today's encouraging verse and quote 😁

Pray without ceasing-1 Thessalonians 5:17
Every day brings new choices-Marth Becks

Ok wow, y'all.  This movie was such an eye-opener!  This movie was based on a true story about a woman who worked at Planned Parenthood for years...She didn't know/believe that babies in the womb were babies. She thought that babies in the womb weren't babies.  She started working at Planned Parenthood because she thought it was a place for women to get help for babies they didn't want.  That abortions were only done when it was necessary.  But as she went higher on the chain of command at this particular center, she found that you could come for abortions on Saturday. That was their busiest day.  That was the day they only did abortions.  They didn't do anything else!  Well, she got pregnant and kept her baby.  Even though she was encouraged to get rid of her.  And then, after they encouraged her to get rid of her baby and saw she wasn't going to, they ended up thinking it would show girls trying to get an abortion the "trials" of having a baby.  Then, one day after several years of working at the center, she has to go assist an abortion.  This whole time she was led to believe that what they were killing wasn't a baby.  It was a fetus.  "It" didn't feel any pain.  "It" was lifeless.  And then she assisted with this abortion.  What she saw, changed everything.  That baby was wriggling.  Trying to get away from the terror grip of the clamp.  The baby was fighting for his life.  She then realized that the two abortions she had were actually murders.  When she went, they didn't let her see her baby.  They did keep pictures of the sonogram though.  So after she assisted with the abortion, she went to her file and looked at the pictures.  There was a baby!  She had killed her own baby!  Twice!!  She didn't know what to do after that.  At Planned Parenthood, if you decide to quit, you can't.  It's a step down from the mob.  They won't kill you, but they will make your life miserable.  They sued her.  They made sure she didn't have a voice.  She went to work at a life center that was against abortions.  That was for advocating for babies, not against them.

This is such a great movie in prospects of how some women are pressured into getting abortions.  Or are not taught the proper way.  I'm not saying murder is excusable in this case, but many of these women are girls who are still in high school, that are pressured by parents or boyfriends to get rid of the baby!  Planned Parenthoods are primarily in the center of the cities.  It is statically proven that more black babies are aborted per year than white babies.  Look at this website. https://www.kff.org/womens-health-policy/state-indicator/abortions-by-race/?dataView=1&currentTimeframe=0&sortModel=%7B%22colId%22:%22Location%22,%22sort%22:%22asc%22%7D.  I wrote down some particulars...As of 2020, the number of babies aborted was 333,289.  And that was just the ones that were mandated to tell.  Not the private organizations, or the private parties.  And 19 states didn't even report their abortions.  And a lot of the states that didn't report have a HUGE population, and are liberal.  Here are some of the states that didn't report: California, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington.  And that's just 10 of the 19 states that didn't report their abortion rates.  And we all know that California and New York have one of the highest timelines for abortion.  You can get an abortion right before birth and it's okay.  They were even talking about making it to where they could still abort the baby after birth and it wouldn't be considered murder.  And if you look at the stats on that website, the number of black babies versus white babies is more.  Like way more!  So how can the people say that we are being racist by being white, and we need to pay the black community for their past as slaves, when they are the ones that put abortion centers in the middle of cities and make it seem like there's no way out except through an abortion?

If you want to activate for pro-life, you can look up your local pro-life office.  Or get together a group of friends, family, or your church to go to the abortion center in your community and pray.  https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/   There is a website you can look up your city or zip code and find your local 40 days for life.  It's basically where people are at the abortion center praying for 40 days straight.  It goes from September 27-November 5.  You are also trying to reach out to women going in there to get an abortion and show them there are other options.  This is something I am increasingly becoming more interested in and I might try to do it this year or next.  There is also the March For Life that is held yearly in January, in Washington D.C.  People come from all over the country to walk there.
I know several people who are survivors of abortions.  They speak out against abortion all the time and go to all the events!  It's hard to deal with sometimes, but it's something we need to speak out against!  It shouldn't have ever been a "woman's right to choose".  Instead, it should be the baby's right to choose.  The baby wants life.  He wants someone to protect and love him.  We need to pray for this country and that these babies will get a life!  If you truly, truly, don't want the baby, go through the pregnancy, and see if you can find a family that will love him.  Adoption should be a huge part of this!  There are so many women out there who can't get pregnant for so many reasons!  They would love the chance to raise a child and love and care for them!

This movie is a great, great, movie.  It doesn't show anything in particular about the body, but you do hear some things about it.  So, whoever's watching the movie I would suggest making sure you know that you check out the kids-in-mind review.  Even if you don't watch this with kids, it would be good to know what's in it.  It is very accurate! Here is the link: https://kids-in-mind.com/u/unplanned-parents-guide-movie-review-rating.htm

  2. Great review. Our church does the 40 week and our love life week is July 27. We go near the abortion center in Roanoke and have prayer groups praying. The last time our church went the abortion clinic was closed. Let's pray it is closed again.
